Nobody Gives a F*CK

So stop wasting your energy trying to figure out how they did it

The TLDR

  • Comparing yourself to people who don’t know you exist creates a toxic loop that stops you from even starting.
  • Your brain reverse-engineers their success, makes you feel hopeless, and keeps you stuck learning instead of building.
  • Silver medalists are less happy than bronze because they focus on what they don’t have instead of what they achieved.
  • Nobody at any level cares about your timeline – they’re too busy moving forward on their own.
  • Stop consuming for 30 days, pick one milestone, and stack small wins until they add up to something huge.

Comparing yourself to someone who doesn’t know you exist is a guaranteed way to never get what you deserve.

We ALL do it virtually every day (including me).

We scroll.

We see someone post about their new $5 million house.

Or their 7-figure launch.

Or how they increased conversions by 27,894% with this 1 simple hack that… blah blah blah.

And immediately our brains go: “WHEN AM I GONNA BE ABLE TO DO/HAVE THAT?”

And that’s when logic f*cks you.

Because the more logical you try to make someone else’s success, the less logical yours becomes.

Sounds backwards, but it ain’t.

Not only that, but it’s a really dangerous train of thought.

Your initial thoughts create feelings…

Those feelings then create behavior…

And that behavior reinforces your original thoughts.

Which means you end up beating yourself before you even get a chance to get the thing that you actually want.

When you look at stuff that other people have like the $5M house, your brain tries to reverse-engineer what the person did to be able to get it.

Then you start to think about WHY they have it, and you don’t.

And when those thoughts start to make you feel like you’ll never catch up, you start to feel hopeless.

You overthink everything.

You hesitate to do things bc you feel like you aren’t good enough.

You bury yourself in “learning” bc you feel like you don’t know all the stuff they know, instead of creating/building.

And worst of all…

You compare timelines instead of moving forward on yours.

And all of that behavior just reinforces your original “shitty” thoughts.

It’s this vicious fkn loop that honestly never ends and I’ll prove it to you.

In the Olympics, silver medalists are actually less happy than bronze medalists.

bronze winners happier than silver winners v01

If second place is obv better than third, why do so many silver medalists get the sad face?

Well, they’re doing something that the bronze guys aren’t – they’re stuck looking at what they don’t have.

But not bronze medalists.

They’re just happy that they even placed in the top 3.

Same game. Different comparison. Different emotional outcome.

It’s called counterfactual thinking – if you wanna read more about it, you can check it out here.

In short…

The comparison you make determines whether you feel like you won or lost, regardless of what you actually achieved.

You can even see it in the movies…

A Bronx Tale, one of my all-time favorite movies, has a scene where Sonny, the neighborhood mob boss, is teaching young Calogero, a kid he’s taken under his wing, that nobody cares.

nobody cares sonny bronx tale

The guys BELOW your level don’t care.

The guys AT your level don’t care.

The guys ABOVE your level def don’t care.

They ain’t looking at you. They ain’t thinking about you. And they’re sure as hell not comparing their timeline to yours.

They’re just busy moving things forward.

And while you’re stuck trying to figure out how they got there, they just keep on winning bc they know you’re just sitting there crying about how you’ll never be like them.

At the end of the day, you’re competing with a version of YOURSELF

A version of yourself that’s FROZEN bc you’re set by default to COMPARE.

Now you can find out the easy way or the hard way, but I’ll give you a BIG hint:

That’s the version that will lose 100% of the time.

Not because you don’t have what it takes, but bc you convinced yourself you’ll never get to where they’re at – so you don’t even fkn start.

So lemme tell you what actually works.

Stop trying to reverse-engineer their success.

At least for the next 30 days.

Stop buying courses, flush the self-help books down the toilet, and do this 1 thing.

Grab whatever the fk you need to move to the next milestone, put your stupid little head down, ignore everything and everyone, and get to work.

That’s it.

In fact, I dare you to do this just for a day and see what happens.

Because when you do, you’ll start to notice something shift in the middle of your chest.

That “suffocating” feeling starts to loosen up and you feel like you have more breathing room.

You’ll start to feel more relaxed, and bc of that, you’ll start to feel better.

And once that happens, you’ll start to pile up a lot of these tiny little wins, that after a while, start to add up to 1 HUGE win.

It’s just math:

  • SMALL WIN 1 + SMALL WIN 2 = BIG WIN 1
  • BIG WIN 1 + BIG WIN 2 = HUGE WIN 1
  • Rinse, repeat

And by then, you’ll have realized that you’re a lot closer to the guys you were paying attention to the entire time – without paying attention to them.

All bc you learned today that…
